The Zeiss CZ.2 28-80mm is a standard range zoom lens perfectly optimized for cinema and motion picture production, uniquely offering full-frame LF/FF coverage (36 x 24mm) to cover cameras like the Alexa Mini LF, Sony VENICE, and RED Monstro 8K Vista Vision sensors. This lens is future-proofed for any full-frame or Super35 sensor.

A special feature of this zoom lens is the ‘Zero Focus Shift’ over the entire zoom range, which is rare. The cine-style lens housing body includes calibrated focus scales and industry-standard gearing for the ‘pulling’ of focus, iris, and zoom. At 7.72″ (196mm) in length and weighing only 5.5lbs (2.5KG), this zoom lens is relatively compact and lightweight for its range and speed, making it ideal for handheld, Steadicam, and Ronin applications. The lens also features a built-in lens support post with a 3/8″ thread for use with lens supports.

Zeiss CZ.2 Compact Zoom lenses feature the T* lens coating, identical to Ultra Prime and Master Prime lens coatings, providing anti-reflex, anti-reflective benefits, and light traps to reduce flares.
