This groundbreaking camera combines RED’s renowned image quality and color science in a compact, all-in-one design. The KOMODO 6K features a 19.9MP Super35 CMOS sensor with Global Shutter technology, capable of capturing images with 16+ stops of dynamic range while eliminating rolling shutter artifacts. This sensor can shoot up to 6K at 40 fps, 5K at 48 fps, 4K at 60 fps, and 2K at 120 fps in REDCODE RAW, offering incredible flexibility in post-production.

The KOMODO’s compact design includes a Canon RF lens mount, which supports a wide range of lenses through optional adapters. The camera natively supports mechanical RF lenses and mechanical EF lenses via the included adapter. With optional electronic EF-to-RF mount adapters, the KOMODO even supports electronic Canon EF-mount lenses, enabling features like autofocus.

The KOMODO features built-in 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi for wireless control via the RED Control system using an iOS or Android device. It also supports wired control via the USB Type-C port. The camera includes integrated stereo microphones, a 3.5mm input for audio, genlock/timecode/GPIO/RS232 support via a 9-pin EXT port, and a DC power input. A 12G-SDI port supports up to DCI 4K at 60 fps in 10-bit 4:2:2 quality for dedicated monitoring solutions. The rear of the camera has dual Canon BP-9xx series battery slots that can be hot-swapped for virtually unlimited recording in the field.
